HA HA if you stick a turkey head onna front and ram a feather duster up the occipital lobes then it looks just like an ostrich!
The bottle is then riddled, so that the lees settles in the neck of the wine bottle... Manual riddling is still done for Prestige Cuvées in Champagne... mechanised riddling equipment (a gyropalette) is used instead. (Wikipedia)

ReplyDeleteI'd rather the legs were off because running with spoon-in-hand is not a very satisfying way to eat a meal.
