May I have the "surprised" trousers please

It's out of the blue, I know but it seems that U.S. groups have been shovelling money into New Zealand crackpot organisations so that they can write Letters to the Editors and such. This could be why the merest mention of Global Warming in a New Zild newspaper gets swamped with drooling letters describing the cooling of the earth.
 Asked why the coalition did not disclose its funding from Heartland, Mr Leyland said the money came from private donors who "had no interest in climate change".
Is the funny bit. No interest? Well no brains anyway.

    I feel certain I've seen the same phenomenon here in the U.S. at sites like the WaPo.
