Stairway to the stars, I hope you heal up real quick

Only available in this low-rez
version, through feuilleton
There has been no end to the badinage and chaffing and general esprit de l'escalier around the Riddled tea-room smoko table since an earlier post about architectural artwork omitted Goodfellow's spiral-staircase cover for Labyrinths.

Let the record show that I had not forgotten that cover. And now with the screening of the Dr Who Christmas Special I stand vindicated -- for it shows the inspiration for the spiral-staircase-to-the-clouds feature of the redesigned Tardis.
Note the full moon in the spiral-staircase scene, where the action is supposedly occurring in the lead-up to Christmas Eve of 1892.

In actuality the full moon for that year was on the night of December 4th. However, I have learned not to complain to the BBC when episodes of Dr Who deviate from empirical facts and the realities of time travel, for they only advise me to take it up with the current scriptwriter, Jorge Luis Borges.

Oops, wrong staircase.

Alternative Plot-spoiling Title #1: "Silent Snow, Secret Snow".

Alternative Plot-spoiling Title #2: "That's the way you do it!"

Well THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the spoiler, as I had not been able to view the Christmas Special as yet.

Hmpf. I'd say Shan't be back, but you'd like that, wouldn't you?

Which plot details of the $mas Special did I inadvertently leak? The "lead-up to $mas eve" part?
