Sláinte

Don't let me keep you
from fucking the world over,
but Seamus Heaney has died.
Just some old poet
guy with a funny accent
who wrote about stuff
in peoples hearts and minds.
Not serious things like
gassing and bombing
and killing, I know.
Some old guy
who looked between
and saw what was there
and reported back
so that we could ignore it
and buy another TV.
I think that it's
worth noting that he
bought Beowulf
back to life
and wrote of turnip snedding
in relation to life
but that's just me,
what do I know, poetically
Things I learnt from him, mainly,
though he was the man
and I am a boy.
Yeah,
sorry,
going on a bit.
He was a good guy.
You have to get back
 to your work, eh.

So he included turnip snedding in Beowulf?

  2. Sheesh, the fight with Turnip Snedding's mother was the scariest part!

  3. I always confuse Turnip Snedding with Milton Keynes.

  4. ...what did it cost to buy Beowulf back to life? (AFAF)

  5. Pshaw! John Maynard was the only Keynes worth a bucket of spit.

  6. John Maynard was the only Keynes worth a bucket of spit.

Having "John Maynard" as surnames somehow confers intellectual calibre. No-one knows why.

  7. Milton Keynes mother couldn't fight for BEANS. Also: prenames. Or forenames, I'm not picky.

  9. People gave Jaimie Keynes a hard time because she was purty. She was a good, classically trained wrassler.

  10. The fight with Jaime Keynes's mother was in Gawain and the Green Knight.

  12. Mr. Thunder appears to be unaware of the robust nature of "Riddled Poetry: After Dark". Maybe his SUBS ARE IN ARREARS.

  13. "Riddled Poetry: After Dark" is not for everyone, AK. Tamer spirits should probably stick to the staged bouts and scripted animosities of the WWF.

  14. Is being buried in a bog in Ireland racist or poetic?
I'm still coming to terms with his last words being a text from his deathbed.
Will he start a trend in bereavement blogging?
