The proposed label for the Christmas Hopped Winterstipple Scrumpy did not go down well with last night's Unfocus Group at the Old Entomologist. Needs work.
The bottle is then riddled, so that the lees settles in the neck of the wine bottle... Manual riddling is still done for Prestige Cuvées in Champagne... mechanised riddling equipment (a gyropalette) is used instead. (Wikipedia)

Should note that Faber & Faber have re-released "Hopjoy was Here" along with Watson's other Flaxborough novels. Naturally this brought to mind the cover of the 1966 Penguin edition.
ReplyDelete"Acid Bath" is track 1 on "Scary Sounds" by the Paper Magic Group, BTW, although the best by far is "Screams (Man)," which expands upon its inspiration, "Groaning Man," as I recall.
