This does not mean anything about Australians

A Tasmanian man at the centre of a two-day missing persons search in New Zealand has been found drinking in a bar oblivious to the concern surrounding his whereabouts.

I call shenanigans on this story, 'Shenanigans' being the name of one of our cats.

Back in 1981 I got, er, detained by some federal law enforcement types in san francisco. While we were having a nice little talk, they put me up in a little room in the basement of the federal building. For eleven days. Every day, when I asked if I could leave, they said sure but then, if we weren't just having this nice little chat, they'd have to go ahead and file charges. Eventually, after almost two weeks, they let me go.

So anyway, I walked out of there feeling reborn, and I drove up to the place I was staying in San Rafael and ran thru the door telling all the denizens and hangers on how great it was to be back. And they all stopped what they were doing, looked at me with blank and confused stares, and asked almost in unison "You've been gone?"

I kept calling shenanigans and eventually she turned up. I think she goes down the banks and sleeps under the bushes.

Butter on the paws will stop them straying. As well as ruining your expensive woodcut influenced carpets.

Sometimes the Frau Doktorin puts butter on me and I do concede that it distracts me from wandering off to the pub.

Ahh, yes. I read about this in the Def Leopard authorized biography.

The first draft of the song went
"Put some butter on me
On my hands and knees
Put some butter on me
Y'made a bloody mess, JEEZ"

Later, possibly influenced by Andy Kim, they changed it to sugar...

So you don't put butter in your beer, Smut? Verrry interesting

mikey said...

The butter wouldn't melt so I put it in the pie

Well alright

One would think that the searchers would've searched the pub first.

They may have not made it into the Public Bar yet 4B. Still conducting a thorough search of the Sportsman bar
