My homework ate the dog

In a February progress report on the genetic-engineering research here at Riddled Laboratories, Another Kiwi informed you of our "new cloning technique involving a super fast Taq polymerase". To be sure, there were still some problems with the system then, such as the tendency for the newly-ribboned body to adopt "invisible box" and "pushing against the wind" street-mime poses.
There turns out to be one drawback with our procedure of training flatworms to wind themselves into an armature to function as feeder cells for the new body to grow on. Or more precisely, a drawback with what we were feeding them on. I don't know what went into that commercial pet-food pie filling but those flatworms have picked up some dubious RNA memories.

Nevertheless, the cloned personalities are winning out over the spurious memories, as shown by the fact that they are spontaneously playing the "chasing-around-the-room-with-a-live-eel" game.

Ahh, yes. Thorne Smith. Much to be learned, not the least of which that cocktails have value in more than simply a social setting.

Allow me to recommend "Rain in the Doorway" as a lifestyle guide.

Now, away with you. There is rum, and scantily clad women on ladders...

I have followed its advice on many occasions, especially the bit about not buying a stuffed whale on a trailer.

There is rum, and scantily clad women on ladders...

Sometimes I envy mikey's job.

The experiment seemed to show such an effect, but it was later determined that the original planaria had left chemical tracks inside the maze itself that were not properly cleaned away before the next set of planaria were run
Similarly it turned out that grinding up the former technicians and feeding them to their replacements did not ensure knowledge transfer

Slugs. I hear a little dab will do you in.

mikey, I have mentioned elsewhere that I am out of rum.

Poor planning or just bad luck, but if it helps I do have a couple of ladders....

Further to this, I'm just sayin' that people should stop putting the Riddled Taq in their coffee. It doesn't actually make you a sex magnet and it's kind of expensive.
The Old Entomologist Rum Squeezings will, I am reliably informed, have the desired affect and not result in random ejaculations of the type seen when Taq is consumed in large quantities.
