Bacchanalian fox-skin

The local Red Admiral butterfly, Bassaris gonerilla.

The New Zealand stinging nettle, Urtica ferox or ongaonga, has previously been mentioned in a reputable source. Its leaves are eaten by Red Admiral caterpillars, which is just as well, for otherwise the Death Nettle has no enemies or biological controls (other than dead poisoned carcasses blocking out the light when they fall on it) and it would envelope the entire country as a first step towards reshaping the world to be more suitable for its alien creators.

Now you might think that a larval diet consisting largely of formic acid plus neurotransmitters (histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine and acetylcholine) and neurotoxins might give the butterfly some sort of special properties, but in fact OH MY GOD GET IT OFF ME FUCK FUCK
