Over two decades have passed since
Pion et al. discovered that taurine deficiency is the main cause of feline cardiomyopathy.
Has anyone since then done any research into feline deficiency as a cause of taurine cardiomyopathy? Have they bogroll.
Potential victim of taurine cardiomyopathy (left).
Needs moar kitteh.
UPDATE SPOILER ALERT
Ferdinand escapes taurine cardiomyopathy by self-medicating with Bach flower remedies, to the frustration of the matador who was so mad he cried because he couldn't show off with his cape and sword.

Mrs Spat enjoys her daily dose of Red Bull, but the subsequent side-effects are spectacular and require regular furniture replacement.
1) I have some turkey vulture pics (and even a movie!) from a hike up the mountain the other day.
2) Looking up taurine on the innertoobz (after all, I would not shirk on research at the Riddled blog, it would be embarrassing), I find this:
Many passerines seek out taurine-rich spiders to feed their young, particularly just after hatching. Researchers compared the behaviors and development of birds fed a taurine-supplemented diet to a control diet and found the juveniles fed taurine-rich diets as neonates were much larger risk takers and more adept at spatial learning tasks.

She looks like she could take on an ox in a fair fight.

This becomes a problem when the young birds eat fermenting berries along with the taurine-rich spiders, and start trashing nightclubs and stealing jewelry.
Evidently containing taurine with the associated anxiolytic effect and risk-taking did NOT WORK OUT FOR THE SPIDERS.
FERDINAND!!!!1!
I appreciate that the cat's privacy is being protected.
The Red Bull comment made me LOL, so I had to read it aloud to mr. Slayer.
