Bring Me the Head of Federico García Lorca
Look at William Blake's designs for what would have been the world's first banknotes featuring the heads of famous poets. Just look at them.
Sadly, the Bank of England took offense and reneged on the deal when Blake's caricature of "Bankster as Blood-sucking Parasite" came to their attention. The aesthetic development of banknotes was thereby set back until 1970.
There is a tradition of each country's National Mint commissioning portraiture for their currency from the best artists of the day, but we do not inhabit the right alternative universe to benefit from it. NO WAIT.

Lorca, eh? Needs more geetars, more accordion too.
I approve wholeheartedly on the use of hops and/or their imagery in or on bank notes.
Also: I do not want 73 moresugu, thanks though mr. capcha.
Take a few thousand Bimlers and call us in the morning.

I believe that to be a globe artichoke, though the confusion is understandable.
As an addition to beer it is not a mistake one would make twice. Probably.
Also is that a 3 Bimler note, a 5, or a 14?
Homebrewers are weird.

Now I want banknotes printed in colour dots so they read "5" if you're colourblind but only "3" if you're colour-normal. HILARITY.
Hmm, mine all say "THIS IS YOUR GOD".

You're the Boss, Boss.
