Once you have bested the Elder Gods and sealed them within an iron catafalque behind an impregnable ignimbrite cliff, it is unwise to put up a sign telling people "DANGER, DO NOT OPEN"
Eventually some dickhead will stroll past, see the sign, and be all "Hold my beer, let's see what's behind the cliff!"
