Calvatia craniiformis, the 'skull-shaped baldhead puffball'. Is it edible? Let's see!

Doktorling Sonja describes my behaviour and culinary tastes as "abhorrent". She was saying something else as she disappeared out the door that may have been "reprehensible". I'm assuming that she disapproves of the mixture of soy sauce, L&P and fish sauce I was using to marinate the slices. Fair enough, not everyone likes fish sauce.
Mind you, she still hasn't forgiven me for baking a Brain Cake for her birthday party a few years ago. Some people didn't like the almonds I'd inserted to show the locations of the amygdalae within the temporal lobe. Either that, or it was the hippocampi.

Inaccurate and misleading picture of the Riddled offices. Tigris is not really that tall.

I notice that I appear to be some sort of a mole-like creature. This was the tasting day for the Labour Day Cider, wasn't it?

I think that was the first time we tried adding Psilocybe cubensis to the mash.

Doesn't tigris have more arms than that, as well?

This entry is awesome.

I LOVE the brain mushroom. And I have no issue with your choice of marinade, but please tell me you did not put those mushrooms on top of a peanut butter sammich, 'cuz EEEEWWWWWW.

Sha'n't... be... back!!!

Either that, or it was the hippocampi.

Putting dried seahorses in the cake didn't go over well either.

They looked dried out to me and the man at they shop assured me that they were.

Personally, I'd have skipped the L&P and stuck dry sherry or gin in. And was that really a bottle of "Hop Zombie" sauce?

Sauce for one-leggrd zombies? Mind you, I suppose the limbs do have a tendency to drop off of their own accord.

I tried B^4's advice, but the fingernails remain chewy.

By L & P I mean Lea-&-Perrin... so more fish sauce, basically.

The 'Hop Zombie' is an Imperial IPA from the Epic Brewery. Contents may lead to shambling.

Rest assured that no peanuts were sacrificed or consumed in the course of dinner. Or indeed in the creation of the brain cake. I could have stuck them in to illustrate the locations of the basal ganglia, but that would have involved effort.
