Searchin' For Celine

Search terms bringing traffic to Riddled currently feature "crucified women", "deltoid sex toys" and "funny phrenology" (though not "Jesus Hentai" or "car crash", despite the best efforts of commentors). You are sick sick people.
Through a natural chain of mental associations this leads us to a little-known Agatha Christie locked-room mystery involving an ingenious use of poison:

Ha! The lethal vibrator was of course the forerunner of the Euthanasia Roller-coaster, which received so much chatter on the Interducts last year. Wikipedia summarises the plot:
A popular politician,* Marie Denbaule, is murdered on a sabotaged amusement park ride. The story goes into great technical detail on how the ride was sped up shake Marie to death. The culprits are finally caught and more that a few fish die of mercury poisoning.
Spoiler alert
The instigator of the murder was not (despite one's immediate suspicions) Gaudet the labour agitator -- who "does not possess the requisite mental acumen" -- but Jacobs the amusement park owner, who had previously "filled the chair of Physics in the College of New York until 1916, when he was expelled on account of his radical socialistic activities".

It is always good to learn about suitable careers for erstwhile physicists.
-------------------------------------------------------
* In fact Denbaule is an opera singer, working to soothe the angry workers, they being suckers for a mezzosoprano voice.

Electrocution during sexual activity.

Death from electrocution during autoerotic practice: case report and review of the literature
A plausible reconstruction of the accident involves attachment of one electrode to the anus and accidental touching of the other electrode with hand and chest when attempting to attach it to the penis. Death was caused by myocardial fibrillation.

Accidental electrocution during autoeroticism: a shocking case
An 18-year-old white man clad in two brassieres was found dead in his bedroom by his brother. Two wet green terry cloths were under the brassiere cups, connected to the house current via two metal washers and a bifid electrical cord.

The American Journal of Forensic & Medical Pathology is evidently the go-to journal for this manner of thing.

if you are shocked, check the grounding on your vibrator. If you are stunned, discontinue use immediately. Consult mikey for repair of your appliance.
