The one Bob.

Songs I had not heard before from today's birthday boy. I gotta say he's the best, ever. At times he has pissed me off, but overall there's no one better.

It's a close call, of course, but Dylan edges him out in terms of sunglasses aplomb.

After I got DEROSd in December 1970 I had no idea who I was or what had happened to me. I not only lacked the words to describe it, I lacked a language that might include words that could describe it. As the years went by, I accepted this is the way of things.

Then there was "Blood on the Tracks", wherein Bob told me there were at least words that could say what I was feeling. In English, no less.

I'll never stop being grateful. And I'll never be able to listen to "Shelter from the Storm" without tearing up. Alas, this is the cost of being such a wimp...

I think the best Bob concert I saw was in Atlantic City (not an early Bob, more of a 90s Bob).

But he rocked it, and I have to respect.
