On 30 July 1419, when a Hussite procession headed by the priest Jan Želivský marched through the streets of Prague, anti-Hussites threw stones at the Hussites from the windows of the town-hall of the ‘new town’. The people, headed by Jan Žižka, threw the burgomaster and several town-councillors, who had instigated this outrage, from the windows and into the street (the first "Defenestration of Prague"), where they were killed by the fall.Serves him right for standing right beneath the window, in spite of the "Beware of Falling Burgomasters" warning signage.
It has been reputed that King Wenceslaus IV was so stunned by the defenestration that he died from the shock shortly after on 16 August 1419.

Occupy Prague
"11. Historically, a story about people inside impressive buildings ignoring or even taunting people standing outside shouting at them turns out to be a story with an unhappy ending" [h/t fish].

Proof that the only good King Wenceslaus is a dead King Wenceslaus.
If your plants are going to be killed by the fall, you should take them indoors until spring.

Also hurling Burgomasters (heh, iPhone corrected my spelling) at carolers below singing "Good King Wenceslaus" really seemed overly critical of the king.
Damn you Bouffant.

The defenestrated burgomeisters lay on the ground, crisp and clean and even.
Heh, defenestrating the burgomeister...
I think the burgomasters could have been quickly refenestrated with a good trebuchet.
Damn you Bouffant.
Nothing can stop my flow.
I was wondering what had happened to the office supply of Phloe.
Falling Burgomasters. The long awaited second album is said to be being recorded at Mussel School Recording Studios with the help of Mr. Brian Eeyore. Danny Laneway is producing it. Lead singer Jellyfish Smells says to expect a new direction for the band.
