Iffen you got leakage around your spasm flange, it can cause trouble in your Rumpo drive.
If you are experiencing flange spasms, do NOT attempt to solder the flange. Simply use jute packing to keep the flange from harming itself, and seek professional help...

Oh dear. That is unsafe indeed. You never use a flange on a spasm. That'll just make things worse. For spasms you use monkey wrenches. The monkey wont mind if you borrow it.
