Götterdämmerung, the boardgame!

I keep explaining to people that you have to give a new game some time before you get to understand it properly BDALTM,N!
Quite simply the game involves a quest and a titanic struggle between gods and goddesses over the immortal soul of a person, unspecified in the game, and you have to throw a six to win.
The picture shows me, in my Halloween costume of Peter Russell Clarke, trying to throw a 4 and 3/4 to avoid going over the Waterfall of Despair. This was due to my teammates inability to name 9 of the eleven members of 1930 Argetinian football team. How could they forget Stábile?
From here it is but a quick journey across the Staits of Denial before it is on to the Reckoning Rock, if you win the "Riddle me this, Motherfucka" riddling game. The game's designer do try to keep up with modern themes.
I am not sure about taking the Olde Father Danube cards when one lands on that square. The extra turn was useful the first time but the eating underpants contest was not so helpful the second time.

The all black Rubik's cube is a nice feature.

Yeah, that leaves too much lee-way for Ringmaster interpretation in the speed challenge IMO. But there is always the Trial of Fire to decide these things.

Why on earth are you dressed like that Peter guy? Clearly the costume to wear is "Frika."

If you lose the "Riddle me this, Motherfucka" riddling game, it's straight down the Chute of Not Shinola, right?

I hate my costume, and I still don't believe "Wall Trout" is the correct translation.

I find I very much enjoy the Japanese remake of a beloved old American teevee series.

You know, the one they call My Friend Frika...

Every game of Götterdämmerung that I've played has been a low-key affair.
