Of age there is no question, Death's shadow is undone

I imagine that after the first few million years, an immortal zombie ant would have seen it all and done it all and be wishing that someone would destroy its parasitic fungus and put an end to its endless undead existence.

Hmm.

Parasitic fungus, you say.

And hmmm, again.

I cannot help but to wonder if that might be the explanation for my decline in living standards, joy and basic human fulfillment.

How would I know? Might not the parasitic fungus in control prevent me from observing the parasitic fungus? I'm pretty sure that's the way it would work on Star Trek.

Would a proactive dousing in some particularly virulent anti-fungal be effective, and if so, might it be something the fungus would prevent? Can I merely roll around in Baking Soda, seeking to alter my PH levels in order to weaken or even kill off the fungus?

And, if the parasite is killed, how can we be certain the host would survive?

It is as I say.

Hmmmm....
