Who would win?
Genetically-engineered intelligent sea-otters outnumbered by hostile aliens on a largely-aquatic planet...
Later editions of Startide Rising switch to sodding Serif Gothic on the cover art. Evidently someone in the marketing department decided that dolphins are sufficiently lupine to be covered by the Wolf Effect.

Those are some big otters.
Usually I get slapped for saying that.
I think they changed the font on porpoise.
You wander as you Wonder? This is perfect, because it means the eventual "artisan farmhouse cheddar makers and their families" post can be "Hello Cheeses, Cheeses Children"
"Hello Cheeses" a lesser known marketing failure trying to capitalize on the "Hello Kitty" fanbase.
Genetically-engineered intelligent octomapuses are too disgusting for science fiction readers who demand cute things like Ewoks.

Just for slice of life from deep in the Georgia swamps, a friend was fishing and a pick-up drove up with some fun loving locals that had a very large dead otter that they claimed they were going to roast and eat. After some cheap booze and a bunch of what my friend described as horrible smelling home grown the wafting emanations from the dead critter killed their appetite (they found it dead in the road; insert your "otter than GA blacktop" joke here) and they just dumped it.

ITTDGY made me retitle the post!
Anyone here ever seen an editor getting billed like this?
I am very confused by the title changes and the Otters are talking to me.
Starturd Rising would be a good name for a book about Newt Gingrich's moon colony.
