Melted into air, into thin air

Fox News experts inform us that when aeroplanes disappear in storms over Indonesia it is because the non-American aviation world measures temperatures in Celsius so everything is colder. Also non-American pilots rely more on the dodgy co-pilot Colombani autopilot.
Here at Riddled we believe that a better-directed search would be looking for concealed airstrips on the island of Pulay-Pulau Bompa. This always happens. It must be a tradition, or an old charter or something.
In the event of an unscheduled landing on a tiny volcanic Indonesian island, with the loss of large parts of fuselage and the replacements of other parts into crude wooden construction, follow the instructions of your naked bird-headed cabin crew. They are trained for this emergency.

Looks like the bamboo and palm frond airplane replica on Pulay Pulau Bompa finally snagged some cargo.
