Well, you be my witness, how red were the skies

"This picture is taken from a magazine, but the
Iron Cross has been added by our illustrators"

In Riddled's continuing quest for relevancy and for combinations of terms that will bring in interesting Google searches, we bring you the Wonderful World of Nazi Flying Saucers.

As any fule kno, while the Nazi regime crumbled in 1945, a die-hard group of scientists and occultists -- still committed to a program of world domination -- decamped to the secret German colony of New Swabia (set up in Queen Maud Land by the 3rd German Antarctica Expedition of 1938-39). They have since been working there to perfect their super-weapons and their advanced propulsion technology.**

The colony's occultist Adepts of the shadowy Vril Society claim to be able to control Vril Energy -- analogous to electricity but based on the SU(8) Unified Field rather than on mere electromagnetism -- which they use to warm the base and power the saucers. It seems more likely, however, that they are actually provided with access to Vril energy by members of the subterranean master-race, the Vril-ya.

We know all this because in New Zealand we are also engaged in trade negotiations with the Vril-ya. Within their world-spanning subterranean network of tunnels and caverns they can produce everything they need, except (1) beef and (2) salted pineapples. Scenting a lucrative market, the NZ Meat Industry has allowed the Halal Cybele certification to lapse for a number of freezing-works chains and is converting them to a form of animal slaughter that will be acceptable to Vril-ya religious beliefs.

Said by Nazi mystics to be the capital of ancient Hyperborea, they identified Ultima Thule as a lost ancient landmass in the extreme north:

According to the writings of the Atlantean high priest Klarkash-Ton, the capital of ancient Hyperborea was Commoriom. Nazi n00bs.

My favorite line of the linked article: Agartha means the Nation inside the Hollow Earth, which I have no doubt is very real.

I am upset, though, that none of the linked articles mentions the Deros, because I remember Lemuria.

Nope. I checked it out. You just can't get there from here.

Believe me when I tell you this, DEROS is truly a magical place...

I also recommend this website
http://discaircraft.greyfalcon.us/index.html
as the motherlode of Nazi-flying-saucer batshit craziness.

Without even going there, I'm already wondering how greyfalcon got a dot us domain. Pretty sure it's not supposed to work that way...

greyfalcon.us seems to be a clearing-house for the most credulous barking-mad stuff but also for articles from cold-eyed skeptics.

And meanwhile, I looked up the rules and it turns out if you are IN the US, you can have a dot us domain. I am SO there..

Best part of the whole story, anyway, must be its appearance in the Daily Fail to give the readers a break from their regularly-scheduled diet of rightwing-political bullshit.

The editors' decision to illustrate the article by plagiarising some artist's rendition from an unnamed newspaper, adding what they mistakenly call the "Iron Cross" in case their readers miss the point that it is about Nazis, adds several additional layers of Fail to the whole Failcake.

Has Fox News picked up on the story yet?

At the wikiwhatsit Nazi UFO page:

Vladimir Terziski, a Bulgarian engineer who bills himself as president of the American Academy of Dissident Sciences

What must that be? An organization that favours no orthodoxy at all?

I dunno, but I'm pretty sure Eddy Vedder has the theme song covered...

I'm not quite sure what to do with that penguin picture. Nazi images combined with super-cute penguins? It makes my brain confused.

I saw this episode on one of the science channels this weekend.

I laughed every time they asked an innocent question: "Did the Nazis use the blood of puppy dogs to power floating toilets? After American agents swept through Germany, there was no trace of puppy blood. Did puppy-blood experiments end up at Ames Air Force Base?"

Nazi penguins hoiked shamelessly from Mick Farren's blog.
