It may be hard to get into Harvard, but it's easy to get out without learning much of enduring value at all.

That says more about Douthat than it does about Harvard... and I'm a "better dead than crimson" kinda guy.

Longtime Harvard-hater myself. We'd all have gotten more out of it than young Ross did, though, if only the government instead of young Ross's papa was paying the bills.
